The adhesive selected for flocking plays an important role in the post-printing and dyeing industry. Commonly used adhesives are divided into cross-linking adhesives and self-crosslinking adhesives. The cross-linking adhesive contains in its molecule a carboxyl group (-C00H), an amide group (-C-NH2), an amino group (-NH3) and other groups that can cross-link with the functional groups of the external cross-linking agent. When the film is formed, it can react with the outer glue linking agent to form a net-like film, so as to fix the fluff on the base cloth.
Self-crosslinking adhesives contain groups in the molecule that make the molecular chain self-crosslinking, such as methylol (-CH2-OH), epoxy (-CH-CH2), and also have a copolymer that can participate in copolymerization. Methylol acrylamide (CH2=CH-CONHCH2OH) or glycidyl methacrylate (CH2=C-COOCH2-CH-CH2) opens the double bond to participate in the reaction when it is copolymerized with other monomers.
At present, these two kinds of adhesives are used in flocking. The cross-linking adhesive should add a certain amount of cross-linking agent and catalyst before use, but it must be used immediately after preparation, especially after adding the catalyst, it should not be left to stand. For a long time, otherwise cross-linking will also occur at room temperature and affect the use, which should be paid attention to during operation. The effective placement time of the self-crosslinking adhesive is relatively long. If a small amount of crosslinking agent is added during use, increasing the crosslinking depth is more conducive to improving the flocking fastness. So what is the relationship between adhesive and flocking process and printing? Many factories dedicated to flocking printing have some hair loss due to the mismatch between the front and rear processes. In addition to the fastness of the adhesive, the baking temperature and time of the flocking are very important, even if the adhesive must be fully cross-linked. , but without damaging the fluff. Generally speaking, there are several requirements for the selection of flocking adhesives:
1. The adhesive should have a strong adhesion to the grey fabric and fluff, and the hand should be soft.
2. The viscosity is moderate, its chemical stability is good, it is suitable for scraping the rotary screen, and it will not block the screen.
3. Washable, and in line with the fastness index of various clothing fabrics.
4. It is easy to operate, harmless to human body, and is a green environmental protection product.
